RFhex is developing a compact, host-connected, two-port vector network analyzer with a frequency target up to 26 GHz. The objective is to expand access to S-parameter measurements for RF development, verification, and troubleshooting.
Measurement applications
The planned frequency range is intended for antennas, filters, cables, matching networks, amplifiers, and RF front ends. Two-port measurements are being prioritized to support both reflection and transmission analysis across common RF and microwave workflows.
Architecture and affordability
The host computer is planned to provide the display, control interface, measurement processing, calibration, and correction. This approach is intended to reduce non-RF hardware and direct more development resources toward the microwave signal path.
Calibration and verification
Planned calibration workflows include SOLT, TRL, and unknown-thru correction where appropriate. RFhex performance targets will be evaluated against calibrated laboratory VNAs using documented fixtures, reference devices, and test conditions.
Development status
The instrument and software interface shown on this site are development concepts. Final frequency coverage, dynamic range, accuracy, calibration performance, pricing, and availability will be published after prototype verification.
